UEFA and their hired expert, Dr. Tom Smith, is on a tour. According to Smith himself, he has been around Europe at least 10 times to promote the anti-pyro report he wrote for UEFA in 2017. On behalf of the NSA I criticised the report for being speculative in showing graphic injuries with no relation to football, amongst the fact that the report itself did nothing to improve stadium safety. It was merely a bought piece of research, like any other large corporation can order to have their «independent scientific report shows that this pill will make you slim» and so on. UEFA wanted a tool to scare the clubs from approaching a legalization of pyro.

On July 3rd, UEFA published an independent scientific report that allegedly «proves no safe use of pyrotechnics in stadiums». The report is authored by Dr. Tom Smith and counts 72 pages, available here.
